The gun control that Democrats keep screaming about did nothing to prevent a progressive leftist from shooting Republican Rep. Steve Scalise on Wednesday.
As many on the left continued to call for stricter gun laws following the shooting, that representatives say would have been a “massacre” if not for the Capitol Police, it was learned that the gun the shooter used was an AR-15, according to the Telegraph.
The AR-15 is illegal in the state of Illinois, where he is from, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano.

“The weapon is not legal in Illinois but we don’t know where he got it or where he traveled from,” he said. “It is legal at the time and place he used but it is not legal in his home state.”
But that didn’t stop shooter James T. Hodgkinson, who was revealed to be a Bernie Sanders’ volunteer.
