London terror suspect fingered as being on video radicalizing kids in park with sweets, and in past confrontation with cops

In the wake of Saturday’s terror attack in London, there are reports that police were aware of at least one of the three jihadists who killed seven people and wounded 48 others.

The man in question did not try to hide his radicalization and “slipped through the intelligence net despite being reported to the police at least twice,” according to the Daily Mail.

And this seems to be a familiar pattern, as seen with similar reports in the U.S. about Islamic extremists involved in terrorist attacks, such as Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, the Muslim gunman who killed 49 people at a nightclub in Orlando, Florida — the FBI investigated Mateen twice before the deadly attack.

More on one of the culprits of the London Bridge attack from The Mail:

It emerged that the 27-year-old Muslim extremist known to friends as ‘Abz’ appeared in a TV documentary last year about British jihadists – and was involved in a filmed altercation with police after an ISIS-style flag was unfurled in Regent’s park, London.

He was caught on camera alongside two notorious preachers who were well-known to police and intelligence officials because of their extremist views.

Amid a series of revelations last night, it was claimed that a friend of the suspect had reported him to the anti-terror hotline after he became radicalised by watching extremist videos on YouTube.

It was also alleged that police were warned about the suspect radicalising children in a local park two years ago, giving them sweets and money.

Notes carried by a detective reportedly suggested that one of the men involved in the attack had been “interrogated” by officers because of his “Islamist views,” the British tabloid added.

But again and again, the radicalized individuals are allowed to roam free.

The video below captures the aforementioned Regent park incident the man known as “Abz” participated in:

The altercation can be seen in the video below — the man aggressively arguing with police is not believed to be one of the killers involved in Saturday’s attack.

And while law enforcement may be tolerant of the extremists, the victims of their bloody attacks are not.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage appeared Sunday on Fox News to call for some “real action,” pointing out that the U.K. has a “known terrorist” watch list — what good does that do when the suspects are free to carry out attacks.

Joined by Katie Hopkins, a writer for the Daily Mail, and Tommy Robinson, the former leader of the English Defence League, Farage wants internment camps for the alleged jihadists.

“And if there is not action, the calls for internment will grow,” Farage said. “We have 3,000 people on sort of a known terrorist list. And we’re watching their actions. But a further 20,000 people who are persons of interests, namely they’re linked by some way to extremist organizations.”
