With friends like this, who needs enemies?
Mired in a death struggle with Democrats and their media allies, Trump finds himself taking friendly fire from onetime campaign aide Roger Stone, who is taking exception to the president’s visit to Saudi Arabia.
The always flamboyant Richard Nixon groupie posted a tweet tagging Saudi Arabia as being responsible for 9/11, saying Trump should hold them accountable.
“Instead of meeting with the Saudis @realDonaldTrump should be demanding they pay for the attack on America on 9/11 which they financed,” the self-described “agent provocateur” wrote.

The president is in Saudi Arabia as part of a nine-day overseas trip that also includes visits to Israel and the Vatican.
Stone followed the first tweet up with an image of the president accepting the Order of Abdulaziz from King Salman bin Abdulaziz, along with the caption: “Candidly this makes me want to puke.”

For the record, this award was also bestowed upon former Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
But then, controversy sells and it helps Stone, who believes “it’s better to be infamous than never to be famous at all,” plug a new Netflix documentary, “Get me Roger Stone.”
Quick to respond to Stone’s attention-seeking antics was the always acerbic liberal Keith Olbermann, who is eager to see Stone flip on Trump:

There was also a suggestion that Stone, who told ABC last week that he spoke with Trump “very recently,” call the president instead of tweeting — the White House was emphatic that Trump “has not spoken to Roger Stone in many months.”
