‘That time MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Hitler didn’t use chemical weapons…’

Another liberal “goose-gander” moment in hypocrisy was revealed this week.

The left eviscerated White House press secretary Sean Spicer for claiming that the Third Reich never used chemical weapons during World War II, but it turned out that one of their own made that distinction years ago.

This fact was brought to our attention Wednesday by Turning Point USA founder and frequent Fox News contributor Charlie Kirk.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews made his observation in response to Syria President Bashar al-Assad’s original use of chemical warfare directed at his own citizens. That attack prompted former President Barack Obama to make his infamous “red line” statement, that lacked any real teeth in the end.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson picked up on it and played comparison clips of Spicer and Matthews.

And it turned out Matthews wasn’t the only one to make that observation — he was just the loudest.

This, in turn, prompted an avalanche of snark — the hallmark of social media.

Finally there was this:

Yes it does, and it’s a good thing too, because you just can’t make this stuff up.

Spicer was hounded by the left immediately after he made his Hitler comparison, even though he apologized. This earned him sympathy from Fox News host Dana Perino, who’d been there as George W. Bush’s press secretary.
