The mainstream news media covers President Donald Trump’s administration unfairly, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Michael Wolff.
The issue was advanced by White House counselor Kellyanne Conway at a “Press and the Presidency” event held at the Washington, D.C.-based Newseum Wednesday.

Conway asked Wolff if he thought the president was being “covered fairly and objectively” by news outlets.
“Do I think? I think not at all,” Wolf answered, and then referred to The Washington Post’s new motto, “Democracy Dies In Darkness.”
“Every time I look at this I think, ‘Oh my God!'” before continuing.
“From my point of view, as someone who literally writes about this, I think we’re in totally unchartered territory,” he continued, before adding a word of caution.
“Having said that, this administration is more media crazy than any I’ve ever watched,” Wolff added. “You talk to the media all the time, you want coverage all the time, you hurt when the coverage is bad.”
Wolff later took to social media to make it clear that his “Democracy Dies In Darkness” reference was intended as a jab to The Washington Post — not Conway.
Context: I was deriding WaPo for Democracy Dies in Darkness, not @KellyannePolls for being the darkness. Attention please. #newseum
