Liberal, hand-wringing school administrators across the country continue to make fools of themselves with their inane “zero-tolerance” policies.
If real, live people weren’t being negatively affected by this insanity, it would be laughable.
Except they are affected, as one Hoke County, North Carolina 5-year-old girl and her family learned the hard way when the child picked up a stick and imitated shooting an “intruder into the kingdom” during a playground game called “King and Queen” in which she was pretending to be a guard protecting royals, according to ABC11.

After the “incident,” Caitlin Miller’s parents were called by the principal and the five-year-old was suspended from school for violating policy 4331, which states: “Hoke County Schools will not tolerate assaults, threats or harassment from any student. Any student engaging in such behavior will be removed from the classroom or school environment for as long as is necessary to provide a safe and orderly environment for learning.”
Naturally, the mother is outraged. Acknowledging the policy’s intentions, Miller said, “We know why it’s bad. We watch the news, but then I have to tell my kid you’re not allowed to play like that in school because people do bad things to kids your age.”
Miller says the suspension has resulted in her daughter being alienated from teachers and friends, and hopes the school will issue an apology.
Meanwhile, Caitlin is back at school after serving a 1-day suspension.
