‘Raising Trump’: Donald’s first wife Ivana pens memoir about parenting Ivanka, Eric and Don Jr.

Ivana Trump, the first wife of President Donald Trump, is hoping to cash in on his presidency by writing a memoir.

Ivana, 68, is penning a book that will focus on the couple’s three children: Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump. “Raising Trump” will be published September 12, Gallery Books revealed in a statement.

In part a response to the praise she receives about her children, the book will also chronicle Ivana’s “childhood in communist Czechoslovakia, her escape from the regime and relocation to New York, her whirlwind romance, and her great success as a businesswoman.”

Ivana and Donald Trump married in 1977 and divorced in 1992 amid rumors he had cheated on her with Marla Maples, whom he married in 1993 but divorced in 1999. Trump has been married to third wife Melania since 2005, and said he has never been happier.

In a statement shilling her book, Ivana took credit for how well their three children turned out. “I was a tough and loving mother who taught them the value of a dollar, not to lie, cheat or steal, respect for others, and other life lessons that I’ll share now in ‘Raising Trump,'” Ivana said.

Despite their bitter divorce, President Trump has praised Ivana over the years as a great mom. Meanwhile, Ivana, Donald Jr. and Eric Trump have praised their dad for instilling in them a solid work ethic. “My father will outwork anyone,” Ivanka gushed.

The three oldest Trump children have all recounted how their father made them visit construction sites before hiring them at his company.  He also repeatedly warned them never to smoke, do drugs or drink alcohol, and to not to become spoiled, rich brats.

“We were always taught to understand the value of a dollar,” Don Jr. said. “If there was something we wanted, we had to earn it. Even in college, we were very fiscally responsible. I had $300 a month; anything I wanted beyond that, I had to work for.”

Eric Trump agrees. “My father is my best friend. He’s my idol and my boss. We work side by side and spend every weekend together. He’ll give the shirt off his back for somebody he cares about and loves.”
