Next time, read the fine print.
When a Spirit Airlines passenger was charged $55 on top of a prior $50 fee she’d paid to check her bag, she launched into a 20-minute rant that was live-streamed on Periscope.
That worked out to $2.75 a minute for the additional fee, which doesn’t hardly seem, worth the effort.
When her “ordeal” was over she posted a warning for other passengers to avoid the air carrier.
!WARNING! Don’t fly @SpiritAirlines unless you are just going to a destination for one day. They rip you off on baggage fees. #scam pic.twitter.com/OjR5G1w9Lo

Vanessa Grancagnolo, 25, who is self-described as the “Italian Barbie,” is an Italian national living in Los Angeles.
She paid the baggage fee when she checked in at LAX, but held her tongue until she arrived at her Seattle destination. That’s when she let loose all the pent-up anger she’d held in throughout the flight.
Grancagnolo went directly to a Spirit customer service agent and asked that a law enforcement officer join them in her f-bomb laced tirade.
“You either give me a refund of the unnecessary charges or I am not leaving,” she told the agent. “I would like a refund now! I would like a refund now! I paid an extra $55 on top of another $50 online.”
Spirit Airlines advertises that it offers inexpensive fares, but many discount carriers make up for it by charging for extras — such as luggage fees.
She eventually shouted at the agent, “Do something to me b****!”
As tempting as it may have been to “do something” to her, the agent incredibly kept her cool throughout the confrontation, and even maintained a pleasant smile.
And continued here rant.
“I would like a refund now! I would like a refund now!” Grancagnolo repeated aggressively. “I’m 25 and I’m a grown-ass woman, and I need a refund now!”
When her ranting attract other passengers in the area, she’s asked for name — the only one she gives is “Italian Barbie,” the handle she uses on social media.
And the rant continued.
“It’s not about the money you dumb b****. It’s not about the money – it’s about respect, values and morals,” she claimed. “I am being respectful to myself. I won’t pay $50 and then an additional $55,” she continued — although she did pay the additional fee in Los Angeles before she got on the flight.
Then she launched into what she thought were additional slights.
“This airline didn’t even have WiFi, they didn’t even have free water, they charged me $3 for an Aquarius Water that you can purchase at the 99-Cent Store!” she railed, before giving the gathering crowd her two cents..
“I got more money than all of you f****** combined b****,’ she shouted.
The rant doesn’t end until a police officer arrived on the scene.
“Vanessa would you mind just hanging up, I gotta talk to you,” the officer said.
She later posted the whole thing to YouTube.
