Fox News’ Martha MacCallum and filmmaker Jason Pollock got into a screaming match while discussing Pollock’s documentary about the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
Pollock claimed his documentary, “Stranger Fruit,” shows that Brown did not rob a convenience store hours before his deadly confrontation with police officer Darren Wilson.
Rioting and violent protests erupted nationwide after a grand jury refused to indict Wilson for murder, saying he was acting in self-defense. The riots later led to the rise of the militant Black Lives Matter movement. Residents of the predominantly black community of Ferguson claimed Wilson was let off because of systemic racism.

Pollock claims that Brown had engaged in a drug deal with store owners, contradicting police reports that he had robbed the store.
Martha MacCallum said it doesn’t matter whether Brown robbed the store or dealt drugs because he was shot dead in a confrontation hours later with police officer Darren Wilson in the street.
Wilson had claimed the 6-foot-5 Brown — who weighed 289 pounds — confronted him and tried to wrestle his gun away from him.
“It makes no difference whether a robbery happened or a trade for pot happened, or whether a bank got robbed or he was home doing his homework,” MacCallum said. “What matters is what happens in the street when he and Officer Wilson encounter each other.”
In response, a furious Pollock claimed the FBI and the Justice Department colluded to make sure Wilson was cleared. “You know how the system works,” Pollock said. “These cops get off every single time!”
At the time of the Ferguson shooting, a black man (Eric Holder) was the head of the Department of Justice, and the FBI director (James Comey) had been appointed by a black president (Barack Obama). Is Pollock saying Holder and Obama were racist against black Americans?
“The Department of Justice failed!” Pollock yelled. “They failed him. They all failed! You know how many black men are in jail right now for nothing because the Department of Justice failed them?”
Martha MacCallum also spoke with St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Bob McCulloch, who dismissed Jason Pollock’s documentary as fake and irrelevant. “Pollock has his facts wrong,” McCulloch said. “He’s making up facts as he goes along to push his film.”
