One man’s “daring act of defiance,” is another man’s “elaborate act of vandalism.”
Environmental extremists vandalized President Donald Trump’s California golf course overnight Saturday in an twisted effort to send the president a message about climate change.
But that didn’t stop The Washington Post from romanticizing the destruction brought on by the radicals.
The Post initially tagged the incident a “daring act of defiance,” which prompted the president’s son, Eric Trump, to rip into the newspaper on social media.

The article was edited to describe the act as “an elaborate act of vandalism,” with an editor’s note explaining the story “was changed to more accurately reflect the nature of the actions taken by a protest group.”
The activists, sometimes called “enviro-nazis” because of their radical actions, carved the message into the pristine greens at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, according to KABC-TV.
Using rakes, they scratched the words “NO MORE TIGERS, NO MORE WOODS” into the green of the course’s fifth hole.

The radical environmentalists called Trump the “King Puppet” in a statement and said they were motivated by the “humanitarian crisis” of global warming and animal welfare, the ABC affiliate reported.
An anonymous member of the group spoke with KABC-TV.
“It’s a protest piece against Trump’s administration’s handling of our environmental policies,” said the activist whose voice was being disguised.
“He’s been very aggressive in gutting a lot of the policies that we’ve had in place for a very long time,” the person added. “We felt it necessary to stand up and go take action against him.”
