Fox News’ Chris Wallace took aim at President Donald Trump on Sunday.
Speaking about the latest job growth numbers, Wallace reached back to comments the president made when he was campaigning during a “Fox News Sunday” interview with White House Chief Economic Advisor Gary Cohn.
He played a clip of President Trump as a candidate calling the job numbers “phony,” and followed that with a clip of White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer “they have been phony in the past, but they are very real now.”
What Wallace didn’t readily cite is the fantastic surge in the stock market that coincides with the job growth since the election of President Trump.
“The economy continues to grow and we’re doing our part,” Cohn said adding that CEO’s who have visited the White House have told President Trump that “We are creating these jobs because [of] you, Mr. President, and your policies.”

Aside from Shepard Smith, who is the most loathed Fox News personality among conservatives, Wallace takes the most fire from fans of the president.
