If the various leaks coming out of the Trump Administration are originating from the press department, Sean Spicer is determined to get to the bottom of it, by any means necessary.
According to a Sunday report by Politico, when Spicer found out last week that information about a planned communication staffer meeting had leaked to the press, he immediately brought the group together for an “emergency meeting.”
Multiple sources told Politico that they were told to dump all electronics, including personal and government issued cell phones, on a table for a “phone check” by White House lawyers who were in the room.
The press secretary also made staffers aware that using encrypted texting apps like Signal and Confide were a violation of the Presidential Records Act.

Although Politico reports that Spicer also told the group there would be “more problems” if news about the phone checks leaked to the press…
…apparently news about the phone checks leaked to the press.
Aides are reportedly on pins and needles, as they should be. Two top administration officials have told Fox News that this phone check is “recess” compared to what’s in store if the leakers aren’t found.
With Sean Spicer on the trail, odds are the leaker or leakers will eventually be found, and prosecuted.
Spicer has thus far declined to comment about the crackdown.
