The Senate Judiciary Committee is getting involved in the controversial resignation of National Security Adviser Mike Flynn, asking the Justice Department to hand over all related documents.
A request that further turns up the heat on FBI Director James Comey, who already finds himself in the hot seat.

Sens.Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) — the top two members on the committee — sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director James Comey asking for a briefing and documents tied to Flynn’s resignation.
“We request that individuals with specific knowledge of these issues from both the FBI and Justice Department brief Committee Members and staff,” they wrote in the letter.
They added that they also want copies of the transcript of Flynn’s “intercepted calls and the FBI report summarizing the intercepted calls referenced in the media.”
While the request is bipartisan, the likely objectives of the two parties may not be.
Democrats are interested in transcripts of the call between Flynn and the Russian ambassador, hoping to learn whether President Donald Trump played a role in Flynn discussing sanctions on the call, while Republicans are zeroed in on who leaked the contents of the call.
“These reports raise substantial questions about the content and context of Mr. Flynn’s discussions with Russian officials, the conclusions reached by the Justice Department and the actions it took in response, as well as possible leaks of classified information by current and former government employees,” Grassley and Feinstein wrote in the letter.
It’s also possible Flynn may be called to testify before Congress to answer questions.
