Now this is the tolerance for opposing views we’ve come to expect from the left.
Bill Maher might be a vile personality but he knows a guaranteed ratings bonanza when he sees one and that’s what he’s sure to get after inviting Milo Yiannopoulos to appear on HBO’s “Real Time” this week.
But apparently, he forgot to clear this with one of the other scheduled guests, Jeremy Scahill… who took great exception to sharing the same set with the senior editor for Breitbart News.
…so much so that Scahill, a frequent guest on Maher’s show, cancelled his scheduled appearance.

“Milo Yiannopoulos is many bridges too far” Scahill whined in a statement he posted on Twitter on Wednesday. “He has ample venues to spew his hateful diatribes. There is no value in ‘debating him.’”
He claims Milo’s appearance may “incite violence against immigrants, transgender people, and others.” An ironic assertion considering all the violence invoked by the left to prevent Milo from speaking at college campuses.

Maher further drummed up intrigue for this week’s show with his own statement.
“If Mr. Yiannopoulos is indeed the monster Scahill claims – and he might be – nothing could serve the liberal cause better than having him exposed on Friday night,” he said in a statement released late Wednesday, according to Fox News.
Exactly, why not confront your perceived ‘enemy’ when you have the chance, instead of turning a blind eye.

As for Milo, he told the Associated Press that “public shaming and grandstanding don’t work any more.”
“Thanks for proving my point for me, Jeremy Scahill! You can look forward to pulling out of a lot more shows in the next few decades.”
When asked by The Mirror about appearing before a largely liberal crowd, Milo said: “It’s not me who should be afraid. It’s them.”

He was also asked about wearing a bulletproof vest and having bodyguards.
“I travel with impenetrable layers of armor everywhere I go,” he said by text, according to the Daily Caller. “They’re called facts, reason, logic and a sense of humor.”
“And bodyguards, of course,” he added. “Hot ones.”
