For all the hoopla over far-left Sen. Elizabeth Warren reading a letter from Coretta Scott King on the floor of the Senate in a not-so-subtle attempt to call fellow Sen. Jeff Sessions a racist, a video has surfaced that renders the Democrat lawmaker’s efforts moot.
Session’s confirmation as the next attorney general was all but assured, and Warren’s impugning of his character had more to do with her anticipated 2020 presidential run than his appointment.
But the progressive ideologue apparently failed to do her homework when attempting to read a 1986 letter from King, the widow of slain civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr, opposing Sessions.
Turns out, a video has surfaced of King thanking Sessions 14 years later, in 2000, for helping create a library dedicated to the life and legacy of civil rights icon Rosa Parks.
It was bad enough that Warren was silenced like a misbehaving school girl by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell AND then the 2000 video surfaced, but things would soon go from bad to worse.
Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Martin Luther King, Jr. in an appearance Wednesday on the Fox Business Channel, accused Warren of playing the race card.
“It’s almost like a bait and switch — stir up their emotions, use the name of King…play the race card, which she was attempting to do,” she told host Neil Cavuto.
Will Warren address these new revelations with an open mind? Best not to hold your breath.
