‘Tell it Like it is Trump’ makes headlines in pre-Super Bowl interview: ‘What, do you think our country’s so innocent?’

A preview of Fox News host Bill O’Reilly’s YUGE Super Bowl interview with President Donald Trump raised eyebrows over the president’s remarks about Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the interview, set to air Sunday afternoon before the game, Trump was asked why he respects Putin, who O’Reilly characterized as “a killer.”

If you thought Lady Gaga wouldn’t politicize the

He responded to the description by turning the focus back on the United States.

“There are a lot of killers,” Trump said. “You’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country’s so innocent?”

As for whether he respects Putin, the president didn’t exactly trip over himself to praise the Russian leader.

“I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him,” he said.

“I say it’s better to get along with Russia than not, and if Russia helps us in the fight against ISIS, which is a major fight, and against Islamic terrorism all over the world, that’s a good thing.”
