President Trump knows the leftist media is out to get him and he’s prepared to combat their fake news.
Trump says the liberal mainstream media is manufacturing news to push their narrative that he’s racist. But he sees right through them.
“These are very hostile, angry people,” Trump told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity. “The media is very dishonest in many cases.”
‘Journalism Is Dead’
Hannity agreed. “I said journalism is dead, so we agree,” he said.
One glaring recent example is the fake news report circulated by Time magazine reporter Zeke Miller ― who thought he had a “gotcha!” moment when he tweeted that Trump had removed a bust of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from the Oval Office.
Time Reporter Breathlessly Pushes Fake News
Zeke Miller gleefully tweeted the fake news on January 20 , 2017— President Trump’s first day in office. Miller’s bogus news report was promptly published by Time magazine and enthusiastically circulated by liberal media outlets.
There was just one problem: The report was totally false. The MLK bust had never been removed.
Miller then quietly tweeted a correction and the mainstream media barely covered the retraction.
Tweeting again: wh aide confirms the MLK bust is still there. I looked for it in the oval 2x & didn't see it. My apologies to my colleagues

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer immediately tweeted a photo showing the Martin Luther King bust was still in the Oval Office, in the same place it had been during Obama’s tenure.

Trump: ‘The Bust Was Never Moved’
President Trump was appalled by the fake news report and by how quickly leftist media ran with the false story without even trying to confirm it. And he knows exactly why they did it.
“They’re not saying the bust is taken out, what they’re saying is I’m a racist,” Trump said. “That’s a very serious charge. The bust was never moved. I have great respect for Dr. Martin Luther King.”
Unlike Democrats and liberals, Trump isn’t just about empty rhetoric. He spent Martin Luther King Day meeting with the civil rights icon’s son, Martin Luther King III.
That same day, Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, Alveda King, revealed she had voted for Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media said nothing when former President Obama removed the bust of the late British prime minister Winston Churchill from the Oval Office. Trump has since returned the Churchill bust to the Oval.
Obama was never called racist for removing the bust of a white politician, nor was he criticized for the perceived slight to the UK, America’s longstanding ally. President Trump knows there’s a double standard, and he’s ready for it.
“Much of the media — not all of it — is very, very dishonest,” Trump said. “Honestly, it’s fake news. Fake. They make things up.”
