Lawyer lays it all out: Trump says he can run company and America at the same time, but he wont

President-elect Trump stated in a press conference on Tuesday that he is allowed by law to run both his business and America at the same time per the Constitution.

“I have a no conflict of interest provision as president,” he said.

“I could actually run my business and run government at the time,” he added but said he didn’t “want to do that.”

Trump’s tax lawyer Sheri Dillon then took the stage and explained how Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr., were going to run the Trump organization.

Dillon again asserted that the president-elect wasn’t required to remove himself from the job of running his company but had chosen to do so.

She detailed exactly how it will work.
