President Barack Obama, in an effort to help secure his legacy, took to Twitter on New Year’s Day to share his unique take on reality over the past eight years…. all the while ignoring his many pratfalls.
In a series of posts, the president talked about the “remarkable progress,” concluding with the following tweet:
It’s been the privilege of my life to serve as your President. I look forward to standing with you as a citizen. Happy New Year everybody.

Obama’s characterization of joining the ranks as “a citizen” seems to smack of being demoted, prompting one social media user to remark that “you can’t even be humble when you try.”
You were a citizen for the last eight years too. That was Washington's point. God's mercy, you can't even be humble when you try. https://t.co/4vgtzCWObu

But the most hilarious response came from actor Nick Searcy, who bequeathed to Obama the title, “Your Imaginary Royal Highness” while noting his biggest deficiency “all along.”
