Will these guys ever let up?
Occasional filmmaker Michael Moore made one last-ditch appeal to Republican Electoral College members to change their vote, and he even sweetened the deal.
Trump’s unique response to Michelle Obama’s ‘no hope’ remark is not what most people expected
He offered to pay their fines.
Moore posted his plea to his Facebook page.
Ironically, he asked the electors to vote against the people of their own state by appealing to their patriotism, calling himself “an American who, like you, deeply loves this country and its people.”
He listed four points he wished the electors to consider before casting their vote Monday and brought up the money deal in point two.
“But some states have made it ‘illegal’ for you to vote any other way than for Trump. If you don’t vote for him, your state will fine you $1,000.” he wrote. “So here’s my offer to you: I obviously can’t and won’t give you money to vote tomorrow, but if you do vote your conscience and you are punished for it, I will personally step up and pay your fine which is my legal right to do.”
He went on to give a link to a Harvard law professor who is offering free legal advice to electors considering a vote change.
Black Republican father-daughter electors will vote with pride: ‘I make no apologies’
He posted a link to his appeal on his Twitter feed, which soon became the butt of jokes.

Humorist David Burge, who runs and writes for the Iowa Hawk blog, made observations and set the Twittersphere humming:
.@MMFlint I think you overestimate your personal appeal

@MMFlint Haha! You have spit on, insulted, lied about patriotic Americans your entire life. Now you say they should trust you?

Another offered a ray of hope for Moore and other liberals.

Meanwhile, at least one clearer mind offered saner advice to the electors.
.@MMFlint Republican electors vote as you promised. Do not listen to celebrity propagandist fighting for estab DNC globalist agenda.

And another believed that Moore may have violated federal law.
@MMFlint You are committing a Federal Crime ! Leave Electoral College alone. Typical lawless lefty pic.twitter.com/Hfb7aNkm9N

“Saturday Night Lives’s” Kate McKinnon made a similar plea as Hillary Clinton, but that was supposed to be a joke. Moore is apparently serious about the offer, making it all the more pathetic.
