Rumors ramp up about ‘Late Show’ Colbert replacement as WikiLeaks drops Clinton collusion bombshell

Stephen Colbert’s old show on “Comedy Central” has been exposed as a vehicle for pro-Clinton propaganda according to a new Wikileaks email released on Tuesday, and now Colbert may already be on the outs at his new “The Late Show” gig.

In the email Craig Minassian, the chief communications officer for the Clinton Foundation, directed Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta to watch an episode of “The Colbert Report” that he said he “had them do” on the Clinton Global Initiative University.

Now, according to a report by the New York Post’s Page Six, Colbert may be on the way out as “The Late Show” host to be replaced with “The Late, Late Show” host James Corden.

Though there is no indication that the two are related, Colbert made it no secret that he supported Clinton in the presidential election and routinely used his show as a platform to hammer Donald Trump.

According to the rumors, Corden would move into Colbert’s slot while Colbert moved out to Los Angeles to do an “edgier” show in Corden’s 12:30 a.m. time slot.

But some executives told the Post that the talk of Colbert/Corden switch were much ado about nothing.

“They are just exploring going to LA for a week with Colbert,” a source told the Post.

But another insider indicated that the switch is indeed being bandied about.

“They have been talking about this for a long time, but there’s no chance it could happen before next fall,” the insider told the Post. “The talk is that CBS would offer Colbert the chance to do an edgier show at 12:30 a.m., which he is actually more suited to.”

Is too much Clinton backside smooching pushing Colbert out?

Either way, the WikiLeaks report has folks up in arms, and it certainly won’t help Colbert keep his seemingly shaky gig:
