‘Enough’s enough!’ O’Reilly slams lib ‘chumps’ for Obama’s backroom deal to take 2,000 rejected migrants

Bill O’Reilly wants to know why liberals give Australia a free pass for the same immigration policies that they condemn in the U.S.

While liberals accuse President-elect Donald Trump of discrimination against refugees and condemn anyone opposed to illegal immigration, they seem to have no problems with Australia’s tough stance on asylum seekers, the Fox News host argued in his Talking Points Memo on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday.

Reacting to closed-door plans by President Obama to accept about 2,000 people who had illegally immigrated to Australia, O’Reilly noted that both liberals and conservatives in that country support the strict policies with “little moral debate.”

Australia’s military is in charge of immigration in a nation where illegal immigrants are seen as destabilizing to their country. Those entering Australia illegally are deported by the government and sent to a remote area of the South Pacific. Any city that declares itself a “sanctuary” would have “big trouble” with the military, O’Reilly said.

“The far-left demonizes those who call for restrictions on illegal immigration, saying they are bad people,” O’Reilly said, pointing to how those opposed to illegal immigration in the U.S. are condemned for not showing compassion.

Yet, no one seems to be criticizing Australia for its tough stance on the same issue.

“Are we chumps or are we the most compassionate nation on earth?” O’Reilly asked, questioning Obama’s agreement to take the refugees Australia rejected.

“Liberal zealotry sees America as a nation driven by white privilege and wants to flood the U.S.A. with new citizens,” he said.

O’Reilly then offered some immigration solutions that would be helpful to the incoming Donald Trump administration. He called for a one-year moratorium on illegal immigration and for those immigrants already in the U.S. illegally to register with federal authorities. He also suggested federal funding be denied to states that allow sanctuary cities to continue within their borders.

“Come on. Enough’s enough,” he said. “If I could help every poor person and every abused person in the world, I would. But I can’t. So I do what I can without making things worse by supporting policies that hurt the country at large.”
