Adam Carolla hates ‘safe spaces,’ so he’s making a documentary to rip the idea to shreds

Will college students across the nation be able to explain and defend their safe spaces?

Comedian and podcast star Adam Carolla will soon put them to the test as he sets off on a tour of college campuses along with radio talk-show host Dennis Prager for the upcoming documentary movie,”No Safe Spaces,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The two will explore the outbreak of the “safe space” especially after Donald Trump’s election victory which was met with emotional meltdowns across the nation’s colleges as coloring books, bubbles and pets were offered to students who were traumatized.

“Universities have become a laughingstock,” Prager said. “When prestigious institutions of rigorous academic instruction give out coloring books and Play-Doh to 20-year-old students in designated safe-space areas on campus, we are failing them.”

Carolla was a bit more direct.

“When did everyone become such a colossal p*ssy? Having your beliefs challenged is as American as apple pie,” the comedian said.

The film, produced by Mark Joseph and directed by Justin Folk for Madison McQueen Films, will also cover the  anti-conservative bias that permeates the academic institutions, causing many conservatives to be shouted down or dis-invited.

“College campuses are supposed to be where diversity of opinion is celebrated, not silenced,” Carolla said.

This documentary will not be Prager and Carolla’s first foray into the genre. Carolla wrote, co-produced and directed “Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman,” and directed and co-produced “The 24 Hour War,” about Enzo Ferrari and Henry Ford II at Le Mans.

Prager, who has a nationally syndicated radio show in Los Angeles, co-wrote and co-produced “For Goodness Sake,” directed by David Zucker, and two sequels directed by Trey Parker. He also  starred in “Baseball, Dennis & the French.”

While Prager attended graduate school at  Columbia University, Carolla never attended college. In fact, the two right-leaning men have little in common with Prager an observant Jew, and Carolla an atheist, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

But they will bring their shared views to the nation’s college students, hoping to engage them in a discussion about the nonsense they are spouting. That is, if the students don’t hide in their safe spaces instead.
