True the Vote, a Texas-based organization advocating for fair and accurate elections in which only qualified voters should participate, issued a statement in support of a claim President-elect Donald Trump made Sunday.
Trump said that he not only took an overwhelming majority of states and electoral votes in the November 8 election, but also captured the popular vote — after illegal votes are deducted.

True the Vote agreed with this assessment and said in its statement:
True the Vote (TTV), the nation’s leading voters’ rights and election integrity organization, today released a statement with respect to President-Elect Donald Trump’s claim that “millions” of individuals illegally voted in the 2016 Election.
“True the Vote absolutely supports President-elect Trump’s recent comment about the impact of illegal voting, as reflected in the national popular vote. We are still collecting data and will be for several months, but our intent is to publish a comprehensive study on the significant impact of illegal voting in all of its many forms and begin a national discussion on how voters, states, and the Trump Administration can best address this growing problem.”

True the Vote attained national attention as one of the conservative groups targeted and harassed by the Internal Revenue Service. It’s apparently now being targeted by social media giant Twitter. It reported:

The issue of non-qualified voters was first raised three days after the election by VoteStand founder Gregg Phillips, with his claim that more than three million illegal voters had participated. — destroying the claim that Clinton took the popular vote by two million.

Apparently True the Vote is in agreement.
The official popular count still puts Clinton ahead of Trump by two million votes, but One America News Network’s Liz Wheeler added this reminder:

Adding further credence to the claim that hoards of illegal voters showed yup at the polls, President Obama actually encouraged this practice, in promotion of what he called “sanctity of the vote.”
