A Moroccan television network is in apology mode after it aired a report last week that gave women advice on how to use cosmetics to hide signs of domestic abuse.
In the video a woman, with fake bruises, has makeup applied to her in order to cover the faux injuries around her eyes.
“We hope these beauty tips will help you carry on with your daily life,” the host said in the video that has since been removed from Channel 2M’s website.

The video was shown mere days before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Channel 2M released a statement on Facebook apologizing for the clip and said it was “completely inappropriate” and the station was guilty of “an editorial error of judgment”

The video caused outrage on social media where it was shared by many who were flabbergasted that such a tutorial existed to begin with.
