Witnesses told the New York Post’s “Page Six” that Donald Trump greeted many of his Thanksgiving guests by asking for their counsel on who he should pick to be his Secretary of State.
“Donald was walking around asking everybody he could about who should be his secretary of state. There was a lot of criticism about Romney, and a lot of people like Rudy. There are also many people advocating for [former US ambassador to the UN] John Bolton,” the witness told the Post.
None of Trump’s Thanksgiving guests have gone on record to claim the president-elect asked their opinion on the matter.
The guest list included, in addition to the president-elect’s family, model and actor Fabio, former President Richard Nixon’s grandson Christopher Nixon Cox, Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy, and famed boxing promoter Don King.
The fact that there’s no evidence that this happened, and that liberals ran with it like a major breaking news story even though it appeared on the Post’s “Page Six” gossip column, had some on social media in full mocking mode.
