President-elect Donald Trump announced that many “patriots” will soon be part of the government as he gave the nation a preview of his first 100 days in office.
The Trump transition team is “working very smoothly, efficiently and effectively,” Trump said in a video released Monday outlining his policy plans.
The President-elect shared that his agenda will be based on a “simple core principle” of putting America first.
“I want the next generation of production and innovation to happen right here,” he said, “creating wealth and jobs for American workers.”
Trump laid out a list of executive actions he intends to take on “day one” in office, including withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The trade agreement involves 12 countries and is a pact Trump referred to as “a potential disaster for our country.”
“Instead we will negotiate fair, bilateral trade deals that bring jobs and industry back onto American shores,” he said.
Other executive actions on Trump’s agenda include cancelling restrictions on energy, increasing cyber security, investigating abuses of visa programs that “undercut the American worker,” ethics reform and reducing federal regulations.
“For every one new regulation, two old regulations must be eliminated,” he said.
Trump promised to provide more updates in the coming days in an effort to “make America great again for everyone, and I mean everyone.”
