Trey Gowdy vs Ted Cruz for Supreme Court: take our POLL here.
Comedian Dave Chappelle hosted Saturday Night Live this week and said he was going to give President-elect Donald Trump a chance.
In his opening monologue Saturday Chappelle did a stand-up routine where he addressed the people rioting and protesting Trump’s election.
“The whites are furious. They’ve never seen anything like it. I haven’t seen white people this mad since the O.J. [Simpson] verdict,” he said “I watched a white riot in Portland, Oregon, on television the other night. News said they did a million dollars worth of damage. Every black person watching was like, ‘amateurs.’”
Chappelle made it known that, unlike some celebrities, he had no intention of leaving America.
“All my black friends who have money said the same thing when Trump got elected: ‘That’s it, bro, I’m out. I’m leaving the country, you coming with us?’ Nah, I’m good dog, I’m going to stay here and get this tax break, see how it works out,” he said.
SNL’s Hillary Clinton sings ‘Hallelujah’ in an absolutely unexpected ‘cold open’ – and one VERY chilling remark
He ended it his routine with a serious message.
“I’m wishing Donald Trump luck. And I’m going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too.,” he said.
His remarks shouldn’t have come as a surprise after his comedy set a week ago when he went after Hillary Clinton and the media in defense of Trump.
