As protesters continued to throw tantrums over Donald Trump’s election victory, the president-elect pointed the finger of blame at the media.
While it was not one of the middle of the night Twitter blasts he unleashed during the presidential campaign, Trump tweeted on Thursday about the “professional protesters, incited by the media.”
Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting. Very unfair!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 11, 2016
In the early morning hours on Friday, Trump followed with another tweet remarking on the “passion” of the protesters.
Love the fact that the small groups of protesters last night have passion for our great country. We will all come together and be proud!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 11, 2016
Twitter users had mixed reactions, with some praising Trump, others confused by the tweets and some who thought the president-elect should move on from social media commentary.
