Looks like the Democrat Party and Hillary Clinton have permanently lost actress Susan Sarandon as a fan and voter. In a new interview, the far-left actress and activist has proclaimed the Democrats to be “completely corrupt” and unworthy of support.
The 70-year-old actress told CNN that the WikiLeaks email releases had proven to her that the Democrats are so thoroughly “gone” and corrupt that she is done with them.
“After my experience in the primary, it’s very clear to me the DNC is gone,” Sarandon said. “It’s completely corrupt and every superdelegate is a lobbyist. The way that the system is set up in terms of trying of having superdelegates — you could win a state and not get the delegates. It’s crazy.”
Sarandon was a huge Bernie Sanders supporter during the primaries and felt that the Democrats worked behind the scenes to destroy him instead of giving him a fair shot at the nomination. And as far as she is concerned the WikiLeaks releases prove that beyond doubt.
“What [Sanders] did is show people that they counted,” Sarandon insisted. “He brought them hope. He’s supporting a lot of candidates. It’s very important to go and vote down the ticket.”
Sarandon also slammed Hillary for claiming to be on the side of the people while at the same time taking billions from banks and corporations.
Ultimately, Sarandon said she was sick and tired of having to vote for the “lesser of two evils.”
“We’ve been voting for the lesser of two evils for too long,” the actress said. “The good news, if you want some good news, is that everybody’s so frustrated that at least we’re awake.”
So, Sarandon told the Green Party that she is on board with them now. Looks like we can expect Susan Sarandon to be one of the two percent of America voting for Jill Stein.
Still, this is far from the first time Sarandon has slammed Hillary. In August the actress insisted that Hillary will start World War Three if she becomes president and at the Democrat National Convention she was seen looking glum and disgusted throughout the proceedings.
