If the polls are to be believed, Hillary Clinton is looking at a landslide of epic proportions, and could even take traditionally red states like Georgia, Arizona, Texas and Utah.
Not so fast, says “Government Gone Wild” author Kristin Tate, who told Fox News host Harris Faulkner why she believes the polls at this point may not reflect the true reality on the ground.
According to Tate, many Donald Trump voters may not be agreeing to be polled. “I think there’s a lot of support for Trump under the surface that the media doesn’t always talk about, and it’s still too early to assume that Hillary has this in the bag. There are a lot of folks who support Trump who aren’t vocal about it,” said Tate.

The fact is, passion does affect voter turnout, and “Hillary does not have the same kind of passion for her campaign that Obama had in ’08 and even in 2012.”
And in the end, voter turnout, which could be affected by something as random as the weather, will be a big factor, and the enthusiasm gap definitely favors Trump.
“Hillary’s biggest foe in this election is apathy,” said Tate, who mentioned many of her millennial friends who supported Bernie Sanders and say they support Clinton, but may not be as likely as Trump’s supporters to actually show up at the polls on election day.
