When they weren’t demeaning Catholics, top Hillary Clinton campaign operatives were lamenting that the San Bernardino terrorists were Muslims rather than white.
It started when an email was sent to Clinton campaign chair John Podesta from Matt Ortega, a digital media consultant, with a tweet from MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes that named the shooter Syed Farook.
Yes, we DID have our fingers crossed that the San Bernadino shooter was white, but only because it would have been politically convenient! pic.twitter.com/cwrfnsWL5X

“Damn,” Ortega said with the forwarded message.
“Better if a guy named Sayeed Farouk [sic] was reporting that a guy named Christopher Hayes was the shooter,” Podesta replied.
Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, killed 14 people and pledged their allegiance to the Islamic State in the December 2015 attack.
