After reading its story on how badly Hillary Clinton smeared and mistreated the women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment in the 1990s you’d almost think the The New York Times isn’t in the tank for her. Hillary comes off as a veritable wicked witch.
The Times piece, ostensibly about how Hillary dealt with Bill’s constant infidelities, also gives some insight into how vicious she was against Bill’s accusers. It shows how Hillary set out to destroy the lives of these rape victims and makes one wonder how she can be thought of today as an advocate for vulnerable women.
In the case of victim Gennifer Flowers, for instance, Hillary said “I would crucify her.”
The paper notes that after Flowers made public accusations against Bill, Hillary went into a rage.
“It was a reaction of no surprise, but immediate anger and action,” said Ms. Sheehy, who also described her observations in a Vanity Fair article that year. “Not anger at Bill, but at Flowers, the press and Republicans.”
Back on a plane that night, Mrs. Clinton told Ms. Sheehy that if she were to question Ms. Flowers in front of a jury, “I would crucify her.”
This is the same hypocrite who said during her run for president this year, “you have the right to be heard. You have the right to be believed and we’re with you.” I guess Hillary is only “with you” if you aren’t accusing her own husband of rape.
That wasn’t all Bill and Hillary said they’d do to Gennifer Flowers. At some other point they also said she’d destroy Flowers’ character and reputation “beyond all recognition.”
The pair hired a private investigator who they agreed would “impugn Ms. Flowers’ character and veracity until she is destroyed beyond all recognition.”
The paper continued:
In a pattern that would later be repeated with other women, the investigator’s staff scoured Arkansas and beyond, collecting disparaging accounts from ex-boyfriends, employers and others who claimed to know Ms. Flowers, accounts that the campaign then disseminated to the news media.
This was no less a campaign of personal destruction launched against a female victim of sexual assault.
But it gets worse, because even after all the hateful attacks on Flowers, Bill eventually admitted he sexually assaulted Flowers.
By the time Mr. Clinton finally admitted to “sexual relations” with Ms. Flowers, years later, Clinton aides had used stories collected by the private investigator to brand her as a “bimbo” and a “pathological liar.”
The story really makes Hillary look like a nasty, vicious liar, illicitly out to destroy women who were sexually abused by her lascivious husband.
Expect the sold-out media to do its level best to ignore this story, though. If these facts were about a Republican candidate’s vendetta against women we’d be hearing it on every channel and in every news cast.
