Saturday Night Live‘s cold open took on the first presidential debate — and both candidates in the process – with actor Alec Baldwin assuming the role of Donald Trump in the nine-minute-plus skit.
Like Clinton did recently, it also mocked Trump supporters, with “Lester Holt” telling them, “no shirt, no shoes, no service.”

“Hillary Clinton” hobbled on the stage with cane and a persistent cough, and then tossed the cane aside and did a somersault downstage, reminiscent of her picke jar opening as proof that she has no health concerns.
Later she made a dire prediction if she isn’t elected.
“If you don’t elect me I will continue to run for president until the day I die. And I will never die,” SNL cast member Kate McKinnon said.
But most of the attention was focused on Baldwin’s Trump, who predicted after his introduction that he was “going to be so calm and so presidential that all of you watching are going to cream your jeans.”
And social media loved it.
