Well, this is awkward.
A 1997 video has surfaced showing former Miss Universe Alicia Machado laughing and being complimented by Donald Trump even while she tells the world what a monster he was to her.
Despite Machado’s claims that Trump called her “Miss Piggy” and shamed her for gaining weight as a contestant in the pageant, the video shows a very different relationship. In fact, Trump makes fun of his own weight and lack of exercise several times and pays the Venezuelan beauty queen a few compliments along the way.

“I work out on occasion,” Trump tells reporters at a gym in the 1997 video. “As little as possible,” he jokingly adds.
“I don’t think Alicia needs much advice,” he said recalling that he had seen her the previous year at a pageant. “I felt that Alicia was one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen.”
Was this the insulting and shaming that Machado said Trump subjected her to? Is this what the mainstream media is talking about when they continue to report that she was “traumatized” by Trump?
“She had tremendous pressure put on her with the win. And some people when they have pressure don’t eat, and some people when they have pressure eat too much, like me, like Alicia,” he said.
When Trump turned turned the pressure onto the reporters in the room and commented on their weight, Machado laughed and gave an approving thumbs up.
It sure doesn’t look like the video backs up the former pageant queen’s claims her eating disorders were brought on by Trump’s awful behavior towards her.
Social media users seemed to be over it and responded accordingly.
