Riots take even more hideous turn as angry mob beats, strips white man while he begs for mercy

Wednesday night’s violence in Charlotte, North Carolina following the fatal shooting of an armed black man by law enforcement reached fever pitch, resulting in several over-the-top disturbing videos.

The first was taken by Charlotte professional photographer Lenard Bennett, an African-American, who posted it to his Facebook page with the notation, “This is beyond wrong smh praying for my city.”

Not only was it wrong, it was downright disturbing as a mob chased down a man in a parking garage as he pleaded for mercy. His infraction? He was white.

Within the first 12 hours, the video was watched more than 2.7 million times and received nearly 63 thousand shares.

“It’s ok to peaceful protest,” Bennett observed on Facebook, “but when you start looting, beating up innocent people because of race, and tearing up the city you live in NOW that’s a real issue!”

Meanwhile, out on Charlotte’s mean streets, a violent mob reportedly beat a news photographer unconscious and then began dragging him toward a raging fire in the middle of the street.

A newswoman saw what was happening and went to his assistance. She was also promptly beaten. At that point law enforcement officers rushed in and saved the two.

Here’s a video of what happened, posted by the Time Warner Cable News in Charlotte.

Burning someone alive and beating a helpless man for being “different” is what one expects of Islamic State militants, not demonstrators with a legitimate gripe.

Problem is, it’s looking as though these protesters didn’t even have that. According to the Charlotte police chief, Keith Lamont Scott exited his vehicle with a gun in his hand, and refused to drop it when told by police to do so numerous times, NBC News reported.
