In light of two recent police killings of black men many people took to social media to say that NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been vindicated in his protest of the national anthem.
Following the shooting of Terence Cutcher, who police said disobeyed orders, and Keith Lamont Scott, who police said had a gun he wouldn’t let go of, violent protests broke out in Charlotte, the city where Scott was killed.
It didn’t take long for social media users to make the stretch to say the riots in Charlotte prove Kaepernick is protesting the right way.
It appears a lot of people owe Colin Kaepernick an apology. In a just world, with honest people & where institutional racism didn’t exist.
