In other news, this mother married her daugher. You can imagine how that all worked out

You can’t make this stuff up.

An Oklahoma mother and daughter have been arrested for allegedly being married – to each other.

According to court records, Misty Spann, 25, married her biological mother Patricia Spann, 43, in March 2016 in Comanche County, KFOR TV reported.

While investigating the children inside the Spanns’ home, Department of Human Services investigators discovered the incestuous marriage. The mother and daughter were reunited two years ago after Patricia lost custody of Misty and her two brothers, who were all raised by a grandparent, a DHS investigator told authorities.

The mother claimed she did not know she was breaking any laws since her name was not listed on the daughter’s birth certificate, according to KFOR.

Amazingly, this is not a first for Patricia who reportedly married one of her sons in 2008. That marriage was annulled in 2010, court records show.

Patricia and Misty were arrested and booked into the Stephens County Jail for incest, a detective told KFOR. Incest is a felony in Oklahoma and if convicted, the women can face up to 10 years in prison.
