When asked about not holding a press conference in more than 260 days, Hillary Clinton‘s response was to say “stay tuned.”
The Democratic presidential nominee on Wednesday night called into CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” and was asked by host Anderson Cooper about the lack of press conferences and reports that it’s a planned strategy to keep a relatively low profile to keep the media spotlight on Trump.

“Well Anderson, I’m talking to you now, and I’ve given way in excess of 300 interviews this year,” Clinton said without really answering the question.
Anderson pressed the candidate on her reluctance to hold a press conference.
“I’ve got a lot that I’ve been sharing with the press, talking to the press, as I’m doing with you right now,” she replied. “So, you know, stay turned. There will be a lot of different opportunities for me to talk to the press as well as continuing to talk to the American public.”
Anderson concluded by making an appeal on behalf of others in the media, saying there are a lot of other reporters “who would love the opportunity to address you during a press conference.”
The response was enough to draw criticism from the likes of CNN reporter Brian Stelter, who said: “She’s acting, in some ways, like she’s already president.”
