Lindsey Graham responds to Trump’s demand for Congress to act on Hillary’s lies: NOPE, we’re on vacation

If Donald Trump wants Congress to go after rival Hillary Clinton from a legal standpoint, the GOP nominee is going to have to wait for their convenience.

At a rally in Tampa on Wednesday, Trump called for an “expedited investigation” by a special prosecutor into the relationship “between the pay-for-play State Department and the corrupt Clinton Foundation.”

He also said Clinton “lied to Congress” and called on them to “act today” to do something about it.

“I’m so sick of looking and seeing and I hear reports [about] Congress — they don’t do anything,” Trump said. “Everybody agrees and they take so long to act. By the time they act, you’re going to say ‘What was it?’ You won’t even remember what happened.”

Right on cue, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, appeared on Fox News to effectively tell Trump to go pound sand.

“At the end of the day, nothing’s going to happen between now and November,” Graham said. “I don’t think we have the ability to charge her with a crime, you’ve got to get some outside organization to do that.”

Not that the South Carolina Republican doesn’t agree on an outside prosecutor, saying “If you’re waiting on this Justice Department to hold anybody in the Obama-Clinton world accountable, you will die of old age.”

As for Congress, between summer vacation and winning re-election in November, their hands are pretty full.
