Hillary Clinton must be thinking what does it take to escape the huge shadow of husband and former President Bill Clinton.
After putting the “biggest crack in that glass ceiling yet” when Democrats nominated her Tuesday at the Democratic National Convention as the first woman to head a major party ticket, Hillary made headlines everywhere.
But, as Independent Journal Review noted, the Democratic nominee must have been dismayed to see a peculiar practice by many of the newspapers in responding to her historic achievement — that being a photo of Bill accompanying the announcement.
Again and again. And again.

The examples go on and on all across the country, as if a memo had been distributed instructing the newspapers which photo to use.
The front page photos IJ Review displayed included the Alaska Dispatch News, The Houston Chronicle, the Wisconsin State Journal, the Richmond Times Dispatch, the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Detroit Free Press and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
To its credit, the Boston Globe did use a photo of Hillary… in a split shot WITH Bill.
