Trump postpones VP announcement after Nice terror attack, goes after Obama with this demand…

In the wake of Thursday’s terrorist attack in Nice, France that left 84 people dead, including 10 children, Donald Trump has delayed his previously scheduled Friday press conference to announce his running mate.

Trump’s delay, while wise, does complicate things for Indiana Governor Mike Pence, should he be chosen. The New York Times reports that Pence must file papers withdrawing from the governor’s race in Indiana by noon on Friday in order for Republicans to field another candidate.

Speaking to Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren Thursday evening, Trump also had strong words for those, especially President Obama, who are still mincing words regarding just who the enemy is.

“Well, the first thing he should do is say it’s radical — if it is, and it may not be. So, you know, I want to preface that because — for both of us, because you’re in the same position as I am — but generally speaking I don’t think the people come out of Sweden, okay? It’s probably, possibly but if it is indeed radical Islamic terrorism, it’s about time that he would say so, okay?”

When Greta asked what should happen if it does indeed turn out to be Islamic terrorism, Trump responded with the only obvious answer, and undeniably a KEY argument that helped win him the Republican nomination and is keeping him competitive this election despite the hand-wringing, pandering Republican establishment and beltway pundits who refuse to call a spade a spade:

And then not let people into our country, Greta,” Trump said. “We are taking people into our country, we don’t know who they are. We can’t let people from terrorist states and all of these people pour into our country because, you know, it only takes one or two people to create havoc and we’re allowing thousands of people, we have no idea who they are. We have to be tough.”

Nothing that Hillary Clinton wants to bring in more Syrian refugees “and we have no idea who they are,” Trump said. “I would not allow people to come in from terrorist nations. We’re gonna allow thousands and tens of thousands of more people coming in and then you see a situation like in Nice, France, and it’s a horrible thing.”

Responding to Greta’s assertion that Trump’s proposed bans wouldn’t have kept out terrorists such as the American-born Orlando murderer, Trump said, “Second generation turns out to be very bad for whatever reason.”

Which is why we shouldn’t be letting the FIRST generation in.

“We’re trying to be so nice. We’re trying to be so civil,” Trump said. “And the world has got to strengthen up.”

Such an obvious and practical solution. No wonder the American people get it while so many beltway politicians don’t.
