It seems Loretta Lynch’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee has been a pointless waste of time according to Congressman David Trott.
As the Michigan Republican questioned Lynch in connection with the decision to clear Hillary Clinton of charges stemming from her email scandal, he appeared frustrated by the attorney general’s indirect answers.
“I knew you weren’t going to answer our questions today and I apologize for wasting so much time here because it’s really not been very productive,” Trott said.
He added that he had asked his staff to “count the number of times today you would say ‘I can’t answer that question’ or to give an appropriate response.”
That number was an astonishing 74 times.
“It’s reallly one of two things,” Trott said. “Either you’re saying that to avoid the appearance of impropriety in which case you should have recused yourself, or you’re trying to protect Hillary Clinton.”
