Store owner says video shows assailant ‘punching the s**t’ out of off-duty cop before he was shot

A store owner in New York said his surveillance video shows an angry motorist “punching the sh*t” out of an off-duty cop with “big haymaker” punches before being fatally shot by the officer.

The owner of Touch of Glass in Brooklyn said 37-year-old Delrawn Small is seen in the video getting out of his car Monday at an intersection near his store and charging a vehicle driven by NYPD Officer Wayne Isaacs, the New York Post reported. He plans to give the video to the NYPD.

“The video shows the guy coming out of his f**king car, running up to [the off-duty cop’s] car, going in the driver’s-side window and just punching the sh*t of this poor cop,” the owner said Wednesday. “Then all of a sudden you see sparks.”

The sparks are a reference to shots fired by Isaacs, who had just finished his shift and was on his way home when the road rage incident occurred.

Small was shot three times after his girlfriend, Zaquanna Albert, failed to restrain him — their 5-month-old son and one of Albert’s teenage daughters was in the car with the couple. Small was mad because he felt Isaacs had cut him off, according to the Post.

The owner said Small “was wailing on [Isaacs’] face, like ‘pow, pow!’ He was looking to knock this guy out, punching and punching. Maybe four punches.”

Nevertheless, in what may prove to be another rush to judgment, locals took to the streets to protest the shooting.
