Revenge is a dish best served cold, as the saying goes, and it was proved in spades Thursday when a Republican congressman made President Obama eat his words of seven years ago.
The U.S. Supreme Court announced Thursday that with it’s 4-4 tie vote, it affirmed the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that Obama overstepped his authority by granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants with his 2014 executive actions.
Rep. Tim Huelskamp apparently recalled Obama’s own words at this news. The Kansas Republican tweeted:
Obama, you lost. The Constitution won. Get over it. https://t.co/phshGBJwWT

In 2009, when Sen. John Kyle challenged Obama’s stimulus package, the president’s answer to the Arizona Republican was a blunt “I won.”
He said the same to Sen. John McCain, another Arizona Republican when he described Obama’s tax proposals as “welfare.”
Four years later Obama made a similar statement to Republican lawmakers after he won his re-election.
Growing frustrated over the government shutdown, Obama essentially told Republicans that he won — deal with it.
Thursday was Obama’s time to face reality — and be served a healthy portion of revenge.
