Just three days after Donald Trump fired him, Corey Lewandowski was hired by CNN.
The controversial ex-Trump campaign manager is joining the cable network on an exclusive basis as a political commentator, according to Politico.
Lewandowski did an in-studio interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on Monday after being canned and reportedly met with CNN executives afterwards — he showed no signs of being willing to dish on his former boss, telling Bash it had been a “great privilege” to work for Trump and that he had “no regrets.”
As is often protocol, Lewandowski likely signed a nondisclosure agreement that prevents him from disparaging the presumptive GOP nominee. Lewandowski acknowledged the existence of a strict confidentiality agreement on social media last month:
Despite false reports to the contrary, I am not writing a book. I am under a strict confidentiality agreement with Mr. Trump.

In what may be considered a shot across their bow, Trump took to Twitter to criticize CNN over unrelated matters minutes after news broke of Lewandowski’s hiring:
CNN, which is totally biased in favor of Clinton, should apologize. They knew they were wrong. https://t.co/KR7OnS8h6s

Here is another CNN lie. The Clinton News Network is losing all credibility. I’m not watching it much anymore. https://t.co/pNSgSjD5gW

One person not thrilled with Lewandowski’s hiring is former Breitbart News reporter Michelle Fields.
Lewandowski’s nemesis, who now works for Huffington Post, took a cheap shot at him in an interview with The Daily Beast.
“I think it’s sad that a news network would hire someone who pushed one of their reporters and threatened them,” Fields said.
She was referring to CNN’s Noah Grey, who was involved in a tense confrontation with Lewandowski at a campaign event in 2015. Politico reported that “some CNN staffers were privately grumbling on Thursday about Lewandowski’s hiring.”
“My heart goes out to all his new female coworkers who will have to deal with him daily,” Fields added. “I imagine CNN HR will be busy this year.”
