The media are all in for Hillary.
Now that former U.S. Secret Service Agent Gary Byrne is set to release a new tell-all book about the Clinton White House years, the Clinton campaign and media outlets are pulling out all the stops — to denounce Byrne as a liar.
The book, titled “Crisis of Character,” paints a less-than-flattering portrait of the Clintons — Hillary in particular — and is based upon Byrne’s experiences serving the first family during the 1990s.
Although it won’t be released until next Monday, it already shot to Amazon’s top seller list for five days in June.
The Washington Examiner reported:
According to the sources, the Clinton campaign and its Super PAC are in full damage control mode, trying to get a copy of the book and combing through public records do discredit the 29-year law enforcement veteran.
They are concerned about what’s in the book and some of the tidbits that have already leaked, such as Hillary Clinton’s toss of a vase at her husband.
Politico has apparently answered the Clinton’s call. It published a piece Tuesday calling into question Byrne’s claims — even though they haven’t yet been made public. “Crisis of Character” isn’t scheduled for release until June 28.
Amazon’s promo on the book says:
Now that a second Clinton administration threatens — their scheme from the very beginning — Byrne exposes what he saw of the real Hillary Clinton.
Having witnessed the personal and political dysfunction of the Clinton White House—so consumed by scandal and destroying their enemies, real and imagined—Byrne came to understand that, to the Clintons, governing was an afterthought. He now tells this story—before voters go to the polls—in the hopes that Clinton supporters will understand the real Hillary Clinton.
“What I saw sickened me,” Byrne said. “I want you to hear my story.”
The Drudge Report indicated that although many media outlets are steering clear of Byrne, Hannity will have him on for his first interview on the Fox News Channel.
