Women across the Internet are going wild for the newest photos released by career criminal, turned model, Jeremy Meeks, aka, the “hot felon.”

While everyone deserves a second chance, and it is fine to admire someone’s looks, is this the type of person we want young girls admiring?

In 2014, after his mug shot went viral online, ABC News reported that Meeks had an extensive criminal past.

He did two years time in 2002 for grand theft of a person, was arrested for identity theft in 2005, convicted of theft in 2005, convicted of forgery in 2007 and made five different court appearances from 2005 to 2007.

According to Stockton, Calif. police, Meeks has been involved in gang activity. A charge he denied.

TMZ reported that he admitted being a Northside Gangster Crip in the 2002 court case where he copped a plea to grand theft of a person after he brutally beat a 16-year-old.

He also has a filled in teardrop tattoo below his left eye which, in prison culture, can have multiple meanings. The most common of which is that the wearer has committed murder.

And the mugshot he is so famous for was taken after he was arrested for carrying an illegal firearm for which he served 27 months.

But hey, he looks good and that’s what’s really important, isn’t it?
