Obama gave a political speech about Orlando and had cowardly thing to say about ‘grieving families’

President Barack Obama on Thursday used the grieving family members of the Sunday bloodbath at an Orlando gay nightclub as an excuse to further his gun-grabbing agenda.

“Our politics have conspired to make it as easy as possible for a terrorist or even just a disturbed individual to buy extraordinarily powerful weapons, and they can do so legally,” he said.

What he didn’t say was that the most restrictive gun laws in the world won’t stop a criminal or terrorist from obtaining any weapon he wants — he doesn’t care what the law says.

“I held and hugged grieving family members and parents and they asked, ‘Why does this keep happening?’ And they pleaded that we do more to stop the carnage,” Obama said. “They don’t care about the politics. Neither do I.”

Correction: Politics is all Obama cares about, which is why he was sounding almost like a victim himself — powerless to stop the ‘evil’ Second Amendment.

“Those who defend the easy accessibility of assault weapons should meet these families,” Obama said.

“If there was ever a moment for all of us to reflect and reaffirm our most basic beliefs that everybody counts and everybody has dignity, now’s the time,” the president said. “It’s a good time for all of to us reflect on how we treat each other and to insist on respect and equality for every human being.”

We we can start by making every law-abiding citizen equal at least to every bad guy out there, by allowing him to defend himself with the same weaponry the criminal has at his disposal.

We’ve heard it all before — after Newtown, Chattanooga, San Bernardino — and each time he hides behind the skirts of the victims’ families.
