The shooter who wreaked havoc at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub is dead, after a shootout with police.
Early Sunday morning the shooter, strapped with what looked like a suicide vest, killed 50 victims inside the Pulse Nightclub according to Orlando Police Chief John Mina.

Police called the shooting an “act of terrorism.”
“Everyone get out of Pulse and keep running,” Pulse posted on its Facebook page around 2.am.
Orlando police described the shooting as a “mass casualty” situation.

Police said they conducted a controlled explosion, presumably for the vest.

“The shots did not sound like a regular handgun, it sounded like it was shooting repetitively and it wouldn’t stop,” Anthony Torres told CNN.
“So we knew what it was and we left there pretty quick. It was over 70 cop cars that were arriving there,” he continued. “It happened so quick that people got separated from each other.”

The shooting comes on the same weekend former “The Voice” contestant Christina Grimmie was shot and killed outside of her concert in Orlando.
